Today's the first day of summer and now we can finally start looking forward to football season. First we learned that
CBS is stepping up their NFL HD coverage, then the new
Big Ten Network announced that they'd be delivering some HD coverage and now
FSN has announced that they will also be producing 31 games this season in our favorite format. Ten of these games will also be carried by
Versus to add to their eight HD games. While we're still a long way off from every college game being produced in HD, there is no doubt that we will have more HD football this season than ever before. Now all we have to do is wait...
Even more college games not to watch.
another decent network that cablevision won't be carrying, despite their BS claims about adding VOOM. They 40 they're adding are almost all cack.
And just because they have the capacity for 500 doesn't mean they're going to deliver anything.

Why would Cablevision carry the Big Ten Network?? They serve NY/NJ/some of CT...Nowhere near Big Ten Country. Where's the Big East Channel??
One good thing about attending Florida, and being a fan of the SEC--CBS has done a nice job of with their SEC game of the week in HD. Now if the former JP Sports games could get onto the HD cart, I'd be a happy camper--although watching Miss St in HD seems like a waste of a broadcast truck... :)
CBS was so nowhere last season for HD football, they couldn't go ANYWHERE except up. In CBS's HOME/HEADQUARTERS city, it broadcast 6 of 7 home town team Jets games in stunning SD last season. Assuming they have 7 next season, having 3 in HD is stepping up... but still totally pathetic.
