Don't forget; the 24 hour Live Earth concert in HD starts at 4am
Consider this your reminder: the largest HD undertaking ever starts at 4am EST on Universal HD; there will also be a three-hour highlights show on NBC from 8pm to 11pm for those without Universal HD. This event will take place in different venues around the world, and also be covered on various channels as well as online. So check out the original post or head on over to the official site for more details.

Global Warming as it is being portrayed by Al Gore is a complete farce. I plan to be around 20 years from now still giggling at the madness.
Loser.
HD will look great :) Thanks Engadget!

The big question is whether my cable company DVR will be able to handle it. I think I'm going to have to wipe it clean first...
20 hours of HD for 160GB is the generic number given for the SA 8300HDC that I have, I don't know what level of stream that's for, but I doubt you can fit it all even if you delete everything. 24 hours of uncompressed HD is a LOT of space. I'll tune in and check it out though.
Mmmm, just think how much power we'll use when we all tune in our nice big HDTVs to watch this for 24 hours!
