I didn't even realize they wanted $16.95 a month to give me guide information. Shouldn't this cost about $3.95 to be competitive with cable? I think i get the Scientific Atlantic HD box for $4.95 a month and no hardware charge.

Galicki

Comments on TiVo HD launches

Folks, will the HD have MRV in a future update, or will MRV only be for Series 2 and 3?

rainman

Comments on TiVo HD launches

MegaZone, yep, saw your posting - just looking for additional information since it wasn't mentioned on Tivo site or Q&A article with Tivo VP...guess i'll check out AVS as well.

rainman

Comments on TiVo HD launches

I cannot and will never spend more than $4.95/month for Tivo service. The subscription fees are too much in addition to a regular cable subscirption. TWC makes renting the SA8300Hd so cheap that Tivo just isn't worth the cost of hardware and monthly fees.

MikeS

Comments on TiVo HD launches

Everyone talks about how cheap and great the DVR service from the cable company is but I don't see it here in Phoenix. We have Cox and we pay $18/month for our DVR and $5/month for "Cox Digital Video Recorder Service". AND, the SA8300HD is a big piece of junk. The eSata port is nice for adding storage but mine constantly loses the connection and I have to hard-reset the cable box to get it to recognize the external drive. I am drooling over the Tivo HD box and will be purchasing one in the near future. Please give us the multi room viewing tivo!

Chris Wickersham
