"Week ending July 15, 2007; Blu-ray 61% and HD DVD 39%
Year to Date; Blu-ray 67% and HD DVD 33%
Since Inception; Blu-ray 60% and HD DVD 40%
These last weeks are the weeks HD DVD has been releasing tons more than Blu-ray and also catching up on the total release numbers for formats, As well as being 2 months almost into the Sub-250 price range, but Blu-ray is still ahead in disc sales, and soon the holiday season will arrive.
You do realize that it was at one point 80:20, then 70:30, now it's 60:40 .. the gap is smaller and smaller and with the huge number of new titles coming out over the upcoming weeks the gap will narrows more and more.. As I said, the momentum of PS3 is fading out, PS3 folks are starting to buy, um, games and dedicated movie peeps owning the HD DVD are still buying movies.
In other news, I actually bought 10 BD movies. Some guy return his complete collection of BD movies to my local Gamestop, he quit Blu-Ray and I got them at like $10 each. What a hell, might as well get some of those. :)

It would just about have to be a Going out of Business HD DVD player, since there's nothing to make it look like HD DVD is pulling ahead.
