Does it really have to support specific modes?
I just don't see beyond 1080p being relevant except for theatrical machines (2k and 4k) and the media editing systems such as Avid. I wish I had taken advantage of the chance to watch Peter Jackson's aerial dogfight short in 4k, but oh well.
