Disney is unlikey to release anything on HD-DVD. I believe that they are a member of the BD alliance as opposed to an affiliated studio. That means most likely there is no contract of exclusivity but they stand to make a lot of money if BD makes it.

I think at this point everyone who is BD only actually owns part of it.

Not true - there are smaller studios like Funimation who are BD-only and don't have any stake in it. I'm not sure that Fox actually has a stake in BD.

As for other countries. I'm saying that first of all, ALL CGI effects (including animated films such as those Disney or Pixar produces) are entirely digital effects to begin with. The resolution provided with an upconverted HD-DVD player is virtually identical to that of an HD source. I am running all my audio in pure digital as well so there is also ZERO difference between a traditional DVD and the HD version. Plus, I already own each of these titles (with the exception of Ratatouille of course) so I'm saving the $25-30 additional cost just to duplicate something I already own. THAT was the point I was trying to make. I simply see very little reason to spend so much to get so little when I can spend the same money on films where it will make much more of an impact to go with the HD version instead.

I am not singling out these BD titles simply because they are BD. If this were a case of the same titles on HD-DVD my feelings would be exactly the same. I have limited entertainment dollars to spend just like everyone else.
