Where to start... 1) Use paragraphs 2) I'm assuming you're a native speaker because of your usage of slang and the way you spell "cuz". If so, you're english really sucks. 3) Spell check 4) Blu ray is NOT sony's format. They're not the only ones behind the format, in the same sense that HD-DVD is NOT toshibas format. This isn't a battle of two companies. The sooner that you get a grip on that, the better its going to be for everyone 5) Xbox was a failure. Any console that sells 24 million units in 5 years, especially considering the price is was offered at...not very good. This just goes to show that 1 good game (ok, very very very very good game...Halo) can't keep a console afloat. 6) WTF w/ dreamcast? You sound like one of the dumb kids that goes into best buy asking if they still carry Super Nintendo games (i got that a time or two back in my Best Buy days). 7) WB is favoring HD-DVD? Judging by the way that 300 has sold on the two formats, i dont know what makes you say that.
blue ray is sony's...sure other companies support it but it is not their system/product...that's like saying xbox isn't MS but also EA and ubisoft...or Camery isn't just Toyota..but exon and shell and the tire company etc.
MS said xbox was not suppose to be profitable (they took huge loss on price when it 1st came out)...it was to get knowledge of the gaming world and get xbox live started and to let consumer know MS can make a game system...so if MS turns a profit on xbox2 and xbox3 etc...then xbox 1 was not a failure.
how did you work at best buy and not know of the sega dreamcast...it was a better system then ps2 but after genisis sega never released a games system at a good time. I was playing my brother nfk 2k series over phone on dreamcast before xbox was even out...i think ign still has a dreamcast area if you care to read about it.
I don't know if wb is favoring 1 over the other..but total sales tells us just that which sold more...the HD DVD haveing more features then BD and some titles only out on HD DVD could lead some to think they favore HD DVD a little. With that VP quiting...We might hear something at CEDIA.
