I think by the way their site says it, they are doing this by just adding layers to the DVD format, but that has problems because more layers makes a higher reject rate. 45MBps is doable, that's about 4.5x the speed of the base DVD.
Still, I just don't see this being a commercial success. Already they are barely beating Toshiba's pricing and they don't have the 270+ titles that each of the HD formats have so far.
