B&W speakers are awesome but not all of them are that expensive. For quite some time they have had affordable, less than $1000 speakers. I picked up my pair about a decade ago for $300 new. It was hard choice at the time compared to the Klipsch, the sonic opposite, but the B&W's still sound amazing.
When they make speakers they tend to be good, even 'cheap' ones.
