I don't know if I could really justify spending over $2k, though that is nothing compared to other units out there, on just a CD player.
However, I just love Bryston products, mainly for their solid design and build quality. In fact, my dream system includes their amps for driving the speakers. Which of course, their amps are also expensive, $3k+ for the ones I am looking at and I would need more than one.
Got to love their 20 year warranty on their amps and possibly their other products.
