Mojo, the network
formerly known as
INHD, is putting its latest offering on the street. The new series, Test Drive, is all about guys and cars and it's in HD to boot. We know, women drive cars, too. But with segment titles like "Chick Magnets," somehow you know that Mojo hasn't changed its
target demographic. Beyond the standard exotic car test drives, there are segments with a "news you can use" bent -- "Taking on Traffic," "Surviving the Concrete Jungle," and "Road Rage," for example. Look for the series to debut this October.
Dang, I'm switching from Comcast to Fios TV service, and was happy I would never have to look at Mojo ever again, but what if this show is actually decent?
You're still better off.. Between FiOS HSI and Tv you've got the best of the best in both.
I'd rather they show the full uncut HD versions of Top Gear
There is only one episode of Top Gear shot in HD, and that was the polar special.
But yeah, this sounds like a lame attempt at an American Top Gear.
Yeah, but I'm hoping that's a sign of things to come for the next season. Even if they upconverted the current PAL episodes it would be great. They're shot in 16:9, so 1024x576. Upconverting that to 720p wouldn't be bad at all.
I like Top Gear a lot, too, but maybe we should hold off judgment until the show actually airs?
