Bundled my HD-DVR TV (picture is PERFECT), all phones and the aforementioned web for a total of $100/mo.

Two other things…
First, if you go for the TV w/ DVR, insist on the new Phillips remote. If you have the system already, call and demand a free upgrade.
They tried to stiff me on it, but finally relented. It is designed for the new/improved software package and works MUCH better.
Best new feature: a "skip ahead" button with 3 settings!!! (10, 30 & 60 seconds)

Second, though its fashionable to bash your Telco of choice, I gotta give props to VZ's customer service.
Used to HATE them as GTE… but over the last several years, I think they may have improved to be the best CS/Tech support (of any kind) which I call.

For all of you that can't get it, I am truly bummed. I may have to move soon and I'll likely be back in the boat with ya :-(

Fios is a nice service, but everyone in this country has already paid for the deployment of fiber everywhere, not just the markets Verizon can make the most money off of. Google "broadband scandal".]]>Oct 1st 2007 2:26PM
