ILM has been experimenting with 4K scanning for a while.  This thing should give an outstanding picture. Sony's SXRD is basically a branding of the same basic technology that JVC calls D-ILA.  The basic technology is known as LCoS, liquid crystal on silicon, a specific variation of LCD.<br><br>I think there are several 4k projectors out there.  I'm surprised that JVC doesn't have one for sale already.  I could have sworn that they put together the projector for NHK's UHDTV demo theater, which is 7,680 × 4,320, 4k should be simple in comparison.]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[JeffDM]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Oct 7th 2007 2:17AM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
