The amount of apps in the Windows Phone Marketplace

The big question for me is: When is it a better time to buy, Black Friday or early January / after Christmas? I've been waiting quite a while, and I don't mind waiting a few more months for the right price.
I finally bought last year and I did it right before Super Bowl. Best Buy had price matching & no interest till 2010. I expect they'll do something similar this year also.
The price match is for local deals, but I found what I wanted on the web. took it in and they price matched about 80%. ( knocked almost 1K off the price )
