Chalk one up for user freedom.  Slysoft has a 20% discount until Nov 5th (free 30 day trial too).  I think I'll take them up on that.  This includes updates into perpetuity for their products.  <br><br>Also Andrew, now that Slysoft has broken BD+ I expect them to be able to do it even faster next time.  Remember, everything that is necessary for decoding the video is right in front of them when you use this type of encryption. You are probably spending $450 to get a BD-capable player. Well, you will spend less than half of that amount to also support HD DVD. Or, you could spend the combined amount on a universal (ahem, combo) player.<br><br>I really see this whole thing as a non-argument. In the time that we've spent debating the issues, the prices of the players have dropped by at least half, and we're into a 3rd generation set of players. So it is possible to change the key without making future or current disks unplayable.<br><br>The article is very light on details and has no link in it.
