HDpuris: "Too bad most people don't care about the picture quality and would buy panels that are a bargain pr overpriced crap like ALL LCD panels."
I guess people are all wealthy enough that they can afford everything you can afford. But what other people care about has nothing to do with what you care about.
And the last time I checked, most of the people buying the low-end products are mainstream consumers and not those looking for the best picture quality, but the best picture quality they can afford. Also, a lot of these entry-level products are being bought by those replacing family room boob-tubes.
As an 'HDpuris' I am surprised you would even consider a flat-panel over a completely controlled environment using CRT projection. How pure can you be if you are basing your setup on something that has to try to block light constantly being generated when it isn't called for?
Then again, maybe Pioneer is losing their customers of wealth because those customers now realize they can buy three flat panels for the price of one Pioneer flat panel. Again, those people find what is important to them independently of what HDpuris finds important.

LOL, obviously you've never seen a Kuro in action. Pio Kuro PDPs are the best TV sets of any kind, period. Their premium cost is easily justified (and a bargain) considering very high end and very expensive equipment perform less than the Kuro.
Do some research before you post garbage you amateur.
“Measuring 21.5 inches each, with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and optical multitouch technology under their chunky bezels, these two models represent the biggest mainstream push for touchscreen computing yet.”
