Saying the players will be a doorstop is rather harsh. As long as titles that take advantage of 1.1 features are done the way Fox is doing it, 1.1 extras will still be viewable, just not with the full experience. Thus the reason for 1.1 being called bonus view.
That's why I said useless for playing special features. Obviously movie playback will be unaffected. It would be a doorstop for those that really want special features.
