ESPN's HD content heading to Xbox Live
Microsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace keeps adding content, this time partnering with ESPN to offer commercial-free versions of NCAA football games and TV shows in HD. The games will be available within 48 hours of their conclusion for $4.50, and TV shows are $3 each. Digital distribution is continuing to pick up steam, but we're not sure how many people will pay that price for a replay of one NCAA game.

This doesn't interest me at all. In fact, I've never downloaded a tv show or movie from xbox live.
One would think that sports on "X-Box Live" would be live.
I like the video marketplace.. I don't spend much there, but if I have some extra points I like to check out what they have.. The Looney Toons in HD is pretty sweet. I've only rented "300" in HD when it came out (Didn't have my HD add-on yet) and it was fantastic looking. Once I got my HD add-on I rented 300 to see if I could tell a difference and I really couldn't. I'm surprised they aren't bringing Transformers in HD to the marketplace.
Wow, I would even consider having the download ready within an hour of the conclusion of the match, but 48 hours after? You've got to be kidding me, talk about worthless.

Oh wow.. I didn't catch that, I thought it said "4-8" hours.. Yea 48 hours?? What's the point?
yeah within an hour or two, that is fine. There are some great college matchups that aren't broadcast nationally, and of course football alumni/fans would love to be able to get some games. How does the cost compare to season pass type programs from Cable Co's?
Regardless, 48 hours is worthless to most people.
It's no more worthless than a DVR. Not everyone gets to watch a show or game the day it happens.
maybe if they were live. who wants to watch a game 2 days later?
