Not here - MediaMarkt only showed BDs for a long time, airports only had BDs - HDDVD was simply not available for the first some months after BD was.

I forgot how bad Blu-ray.com actually was, with all the completely blind zealots and all the self gratification over the format.

Either way, both formats and HDM in gerneral, has a long way to go to put a dent in the DVD market. These kinds of numbers are showing that HDM is picking up, but not enough. It's obvious that Ben is the devout Blu-ray fan and is speaking about himself in the third person. I can't theorize where he comes up with his phantom number of 570k.

Transformers grossed approx. 319 million at the theaters & Spiderman 336 million.

Both movies did pretty evenly at box sales yet Ben says Spiderman 3 would have sold 3 times as much on Blu-Ray. Yet Transformers still outsold Spiderman 3 in HD sales.

Maybe he thinks that everyone who didn't go to Spiderman 3 on the big screen just waited for it to come on the Blu-ray and play it on the PS3 because the logo "Spiderman" uses the same totally awesome uber graphics font as the PS3 logo.

One other thing, if everyone takes a look at the upcoming releases for both Bluray and HDDVD, I'd be very skeptical of anyone who said that the releases of HDDVD titles were on par with the upcoming bluray titles. Each week, Bluray is scheduled to release quality movies whereas HDDVD's lineup is fairly week until perhaps Harry Potter...

HDDVD's lineup looks incredibly anemic. Nearly each week Bluray releases quality and quantity titles. The only thing HDDVD is going to release that I would even care about is BSG season 1.
