I think Univeral's current HD-DVD packaging theme is getting a bit old, but I've never really liked it. The BOGO was just BDA's way to buy support. If for a second you thought it was about bring BD to you at a lower cost, you have a lot to learn. Kind of like HD-DVDs $99 player, though not as smart. Secondly, in case you haven't noticed, most HD-DVD discs, players and store displays prominently feature signage that you have to use HD to view HD. All the discs I've seen are marked that way. The majority of the people who bought the A2 knew it was a HD-DVD player that can play HD-DVDs. For one, not all 90,000+ were sold at Walmart, so there goes your weak theory on that. Second, the A2 is going for more than most (31 to be exact, this is including up-converting, combo players and even portable) DVD players. Your idea of a Walmart customer is not going to spend even $99 for a HD-DVD player when they can get DVD players for $30 or $40 for a up converting DVD player.
