I also live in Franklin Park....and have to deal with North Pittsburgh Telephone Co...I have Comcast Internet and TV, and have been hoping there would be a decent alternative some day...I guess not. NPTC's DSL Service 3Mbps is slower and costs more...I could go with Direct TV, but then any savings would be wiped out since Comcast will jack up my Internet service to $60.00 month if I don't also have their TV. All of my family and friends who live near me in Franklin Park CAN get FiOS...but I'm left out in the cold.
You've described my dilemma perfectly. Going to DirecTV doesn't solve anything because then the rates get jacked up for cable internet. The DSL around here is slower and just as expensive. What I don't understand is why Verizon can't come to this area and just offer internet and FiOS TV access. Comcast does it.
The X-Fi3 keeps with the company's commitment to audio fidelity, thanks to the apt-X codec, which supposedly offers audio quality similar to a wired connection when streaming. On that front, the device also handles FLAC files.
