Even if they keep up with that it will not last longer since BD gets cheaper. And soon every PC will have cheap BD drive for backups and general usage (games and software cant fit to DVDs anymore). It will be all over soon. The longer hd dvd manages to survive the better for Blu-ray since it drives BD price down.
