Comcast is wrong for BUNDLING the channel with other unwanted sports channels to inflate the price. NFL Network charges $7-$9 per sub per year. If Comcast offered the NFL Network as a standalone upgrade (like HBO or even Playboy) for $1 a month, significantly more people would subscribe (satisfying the NFL) without having it added to the basic level (satisfying Comcast)while providing $3-$5 per sub in return for Comcast. I called the day of the Cowboys-Packer's game and got a recording.

They said the NFL network was included in the sports package for the price of 199.00 dollars for six months. They gave no other details excpt how to order.

That is over 30 dollars a month!

Until there is a forced condition on behalf of consumers to offer something a la carte then the consumers will pay for everything. Just because you may not watch, not get, a channel doesn't mean that in some way the rate you do pay isn't based on the overall operating costs by the distributor's balance sheet.
