As much I dislike cable companies, Comcast has a point here. The NFL Network wants to be the base tier and have their network priced accordingly to Comcast. But the NFL Network, for the most has lame programming 90% of the time. Only between endless reruns of old(er) games and films and game updates, are there live game broadcasts. That kind of programming lineup shouldn't be in the base tier, but rather an upgrade tier. Now, I like the NFL Network as I have it on Directv, but I would not want to pay for it in the base package of cable if it meant removing another network that fed newer programming around the clock.
The "old" games they show are the best games of the week from sunday...for the people who wern't able to see them do to the region they live in. Comcast is trying to do the same thing with the Big Ten Network...they are trying to make more money...both NFL and Big Ten should be on the basic tier next to ESPN channels for all to view
