Micrsoft should've jumped all over this.  Nintendo still could.  But, when the library expands, I may get one if HD-DVD is still significantly more expensive. I think that would be a flawed assumption as the game market and video market are quite different, usually alternative formats don't get easily accepted, and there are far more movie titles for a given mainstream movie format than there are game titles for any given game console.  I know for sure that I'm not going to pick up a third HD format player, I thought two was a stretch. If our grand dads were like you  who say NO WAY every one would be driving Fords.  Who wants a Ford? Fix Or Repair Daily!<br><br>I believe in giving the next guy a chance so I bought one.  If nothing else they say it will play regular DVDs at higher definition.  I am for that.  I have hundreds of them.<br><br>Sony always pulls this crap of proprietary marketing and it did not work when they faced off with VHS and it won't work here.  There will be some one that makes a play all device and I hope it is the makers of VMD.
