Homer's iViewer: the wireless TV transmitter

Homer Technology's iViewer is based on a fairly simple concept, and while we're still curious as to what wireless protocol it's utilizing to handle its duties, it can reportedly beam content from just about anything to your TV sans cabling. More formally known as the HTM 9000, this thing features four separate channels / status LEDs, a trio of composite video inputs and an embedded antenna, which is apparently utilized to pass along video / images from your PMP / camcorder / etc. to the family room TV. Granted, we're always a bit skeptical when the nitty-gritty technical details are casually omitted from any easily retrievable documentation, but if this thing does what it promises at just $42.99, we'd say it's pretty worthwhile.

Sounds like a multi-channel wireless a/v transmitter/reciever or an RF modulator of some sort.

so how will this work? we plug this into our cable and stick something into the TV (like a wireless card) and we will connect wirelessly?

the faster they can make things transmit wirelessly to my LCD the quicker i can get it mounted on the wall! im an apartment renter in NYC and my landlord wouldnt be so happy with me ripping a hole in the wall to run some cabling. where is witricity when you need it?!?!?

This has been around for a while - I bought an unbranded unit that does this on Ebay for $25 last year. Search "TV transmitter" and you'll find a lot of them. Unfortunately it interfered with the WIFI in my house so I couldn't use it.

I just transmits on your choice of 4 NTSC (analog) channels. So you would turn your TV to channel 3 to pick up its transmission. Basically a mini TV station.
