You are kidding, right? The fan is a little loud. I hooked the Nyko intercooler to the back and it just adds to the noise. But I've never had to shout or felt like I had to shout. Once a game, movie, or tv program starts I can't hear the thing anymore. I hooked the 360-HD drive to my Vista machine and love it. I plan to slip a Blu-Ray drive into my empty bay below my DVD burner. I only did this because I still have the 360 on a standard def tv and wanted to watch HD-DVD on the LCD. I totally disagree with your decsription of the fan noise tho. Q.
