There's nothing more irritating than a hotel that DISABLES the external inputs on their TV's. Key offenders are the otherwise friendly Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn brands. Huge hi-fives to Hyatt. With (accessable) component and video in their Park Hyatt brands, and often in the Grand Hyatt flavours.
Seems that the motivation to minimize A/V options is pure greed: selling the truly crappy movies that are doomed to run in hotel rooms.
