Umm, doesn't the VGA cable allow 1080p? Also, component has been working perfectly fine on my 46" 1080p Samsung with component, so why would you really need this?
Yeah it does, but now you can get the HD DVD add-on for $129 and have your old DVD's upconvert. You will never be able to view 1080p over component cables if you get the HD DVD player. In other words, if you want to experience Full HDTV and your TV supports 1920X1080 resolutions, and you have an original xbox, this is the port for you.....bring it on baby!!!!!!
