I think you'll find people have difference in opinions, thats why for some this is exiting and for others it's irrelevant. Not too hard to figure out really...unless all your trying to do is sound like a whiny little girl, Bravo!
It's not that blu folks hated the extras, it's just that it's not something the majority of movie watchers give a rat's patootie about. I think I read somewhere that somewhere between 25-40% of HD DVD folks even care.
The point here is that HD DVD folks said blu ray sucked because it lacks this stuff. Blu ray folks responded that they really don't care all that much for it. Now that it is there, the blu team says, "Hey go stick your interactivity argument where the sun doesn't shine!" and you say, "I thought you didn't care." It's still true that we don't care, but you just lost that piece of your argument.
Seriously, and I'm not trying to be mean, are you an adult?
I, for one, don't really care at all about having some movie producer/director talking over my movie. But with all the PS3s going 1.1 this week, it takes some of the ammunition out of the HD DVD fanboy's guns. For most people, director commentary and the like is nothing more than a bullet point on a box... they just want to watch a movie.
Truth Teller: Blu-ray fans hate it. corporations put it so it adds tech-specs on paper. Pre-bragging rights to say "now we have it" but i will most likely never use'em.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Wow, Blu-ray gets interactive CD tech.
Coooooo.
LMAO.
I thought all the Blu-fans hated all that 'extra' stuff anyway?
Hypocrites
