"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
Plasmas offer superior motion resolution - no blur if any, ever. For sporting events, action films and the like, so I cannot see how people don't see the blur on LCD panels, really.
For an hour, I worked with personnel at a high-end store to get the blur out of the LCD panels (52" size) and even those with 120Hz rates still offered some vs. the 50" Plasmas next to them, same HD feeds. This was for a full-house setup I was doing and the choices were for a 65" LCD or Plasma, a 57-58" LCD or Plasma and then a 50-52" setup for the game room.
Decisions:
I set up a house with the 65" Panasonic plasma in the Family (HT) room, a 58" PDP in the master suite (distance was 11 feet from headboard) and a 52" LCD for the "game room".
Plasmas had a wider viewing angle, deeper colours, excellent blacks for movies and no blur and these were the requirements for these first and second room setups.
So what about that LCD 52" panel?
That was for gaming and the like, not movies or sports (though where it was mounted it didn't matter anyway).
Just my real-world take on the either tech, both are good and I hope both survive.
