I've been considering the jump to 1080p from my Panny AE900 (360 w/HD DVD and Samsung P1400 BR), and the specs on this one are very tempting. I've had my eye on the Panny AE2000 and the Sharp Z2000, but a 1080p SXRD for less than $3k is very good for competition.
Definitely.. I am actually in the process of creating a dedicated home theater and looking for a sub $3k projector as well to compliment my 110" screen. Panasonic AE2000U was definitely the first contender over Optoma HD80 and Sharp, but I will have to see first reviews about this Sony. The specs look pretty good.
