Panasonic's gigantic 150-inch plasma is official!

Although we got to see some pics of this beast under wraps, there's nothing like seeing it in person. The gigantic HDTV was unveiled at Panasonic's keynote today, with at least one surprise, this sucker is 4k! That's right, it is 4x 1080p, which we're sure looks awesome, but oh my, where the content will come from? Regardless, we have no doubt this thing will look sensational upconverting your 1080p HD movies.

When i'm filthy rich and living in a mansion, i'm getting me one of those!
I'll take 2 please....thank you.
Now I can sit 6 inches away and not worry about artifacts!
Does that mean they could do a 75" 1080p for us mere mortals? LG has a 71" 1080p for $15k, I'd love to see Panasonic one-up them. They already have a 65" for $9k.
Just to be bitchy, 4K is four times 2K resolution, not 1080p.
1080p is 2k! The 2k is for the horizontal resolution, which is 1920 for 1080p.
Does it come in a weatherproof version so I can mount it outside next to my gold-plated pool?
2K's horizontal resolution is 2048.

Just think, 10-20 years from now just about anyone with the wall space will be able to afford a set like this one!
Of course by then we'll all think 150in's is tiny...and 4K will be obsolete..and we'll have to start thinking about upgrading to Super Duper Deluxe Higher than HD 12K...or something like that.
Gotta love technology!
