Seriously, your best bet is to get the PS3 as a stand alone player. That's what I ended up doing this weekend. Sony announced a firmware upgrade that would make it 2.0 (BD-Live) compliant. Bought a Nyko Blu Wave usb adapater so that I can control the PS3 with my current Logitech Harmony remote. It's the best option right now if you are looking to dive into Blu-Ray.
