I'd say DirecTV. The DVR is so easy to upgrade the hard drive on simply replace the internal drive with any size you want and you're done. No configuring nothing. It's best to do this as soon as you get it, as you'll have to reset all your scheduled recordings. I just got a new HR21, as they were retiring my old TiVo and dropped a 1 TB drive in there. It was sooo much easier then how I had to upgrade the TiVo. Plus now they have remote program recording. Meaning if I forgot to add a show, I can log in on my phone and set the DVR to record. Very cool. Plus Sunday Ticket for me is a must have.
"I'm a college student looking for a new laptop, but almost all of my media I receive digitally. I'm looking for a laptop, not a netbook, without an optical drive, and budget sensitive. The optical drive will just be a waste of space, when I can have thinner laptop. What's out there?"
