Will be leaving Directv shortly. Had service for 10 years and no problems w/SD (not even in bad weather). HOWEVER HD has been completely the opposite. It has never worked right from the beginning (almost 3 months ago). I have had tech's out 6 times now. HD ALWAYS either no signal or very pixillated (SD always great - 94-100% signal). Have the newest dish(Slimline) and reciever (HR21-700). Also note that the "on-demand" and the remote scheduling do NOT work with this newest receiver yet. (maybe w/ a software update in the future?). Oh yea, and had to pay $300 for the "privilege" to lease their HDDVR. So I have big $$$ invested in my new HDTV setup and can't enjoy it. Looks like Dish Network or Comcast for me.
HP's Jon Rubenstein told us that his company wanted to veer in a new direction, and veer it surely did -- the HP Veer 4G will arguably be the smallest fully-functional smartphone on the market when it goes on sale May 15th.
