Seriously, all fanboyism aside, how is this an intelligent move?
Really, it means nothing to us, but if they went with HD VMD or more intelligently HD DVD, they could save a truckload of money with production expenses. Bollywood will never be mainstream BR, so why not save some money?
Open your eyes, Sawariya one of current year visual spectacular is coming on BR. Related to fanboyism this movie is not worth BR as it is waste of money and time.
Stay far far away from this one as it is total waste of money, there is no story line there is no script & it is waste of 3 hours. This one worked out in recent time just because of marketing hype created by media. Better wait for some good movies like TZP or something else to come on BR.
What format is this going to be on?

i hope that one Xyzzy posted will be on HD DVD... it looks funny as hell... ROTFL!
I can just see it now. Bollywood goes Blu-ray. Americans buy one movie. That's all they need, because all Bollywood movies are just like all other Bollywood movies.
As the Pakistani graphics editor I work with sings (to characterize all Bollywood movies):
"Johnny Johnny, I love Johnny."
That pretty much sums up the average plot.
My friend in India gave me a two-disc set as a gift when I left India last January. I have to say, Bollywood has gotten better since the first time I saw one of those movies in '78. But I doubt most people here will care.
this is a sony movie (at least partially) !!

that doesn't mean i don't want BD to win, but an important omission.
hey guys, how about at least thanking the studio for even going forward with a Bollywood movie on BD / HD-DVD....remember when we had to watch pirated videotapes even when DVDs had been around for ages before Bollywood got on board and even when they did it was with sub par sound/video and no extras...this is definitely a step in the right direction....now only if we could get the Indian tv channels to turn HD and get Dish to carry it, :0
