Bought a SlingBox recently just to do this. I tried this service out and it works! However I got my Slingbox A/V for $70, and I love it. No sour apples here!
funny that you use DishNETWORK products to watch directv...
It's funny you think Slingbox is DishNet only.
yeah, wonderful... unless you have an H21-700 which is NEWER than the H20... I have heard of older equipment "not supporting" something, but newer?
this isn't the only thing where H21 users are hung out to dry.
You don't have to use m.directv.com .
You can also use the regular TV listings at www.directv.com to remote record.
Does the remote recording on the web site only work with the HR20? I have the HR21 and all I see in the guide is an option to send an e-mail reminder.
so i am trying it now with my HR-21 lets see what happens...
I just tried it out - looks great!
This is the one feature I miss most from my moothballed MythTv box.
Hasn't DISH been doing this for some time now? I seem to recall that, but now that I go to the DISH web site, I cannot find the feature.
I've always envisioned something like this. Hopefully, someday, Comcast will offer something similar.
Sweet! I just set up the recording of both NFL playoff games on my Blackberry Curve.
Whee!
Way cool. So far, as reported, only my HR-20 DVR is listed. I hope the HR-21 I got yesterday will be available soon.
How does it handle conflict resolution?
It works on R-15 (DirecTV SD) recorder....Sweet...now only if Dish network (my HD provider) could do this too...
