To our knowledge, no IPTV provider is offering up SysMaster's Tornado M50 just yet, but judging by the specifications, it shouldn't take long to catch a few eyes. This IPTV set-top-box supports both H.264 and MPEG4 compression along with MPEG2 and WMV, and yes, it will indeed output 1080p via HDMI. Moreover, you'll find support for Dolby 5.1 audio, internet radio, video-on-demand, chat (ICQ, AOL and MSN clients), e-mail and RSS. As if that weren't enough, the unit can also fetch content from a networked computer, and if you're not quite ready for HDMI, there's also component / S-Video outputs to utilize. Alright IPTV carriers -- how long do we have to wait to get our paws around this, and while we're on the subject, how badly will it hurt our wallets?
