Some "tough" and expectedly so corporate talk and we get the red ants yelling that the messiah is here and the future is saved. Sad. It is fairly obvious when reading the talk of Mr K. G. that the word "Exclusive" is never said, and the word "for now" or "at the moment" or their equivalent, used quite a bit. Gotta love "it's business as usual". Let's just hope that -when- the switch happens, they will give the same courtesy Warner is giving to HD DVD, and not act like the Paramount Wh@re, switching from one day to the next.
Funny to see Nfinity back, after 2 weeks in depression? Still a whole lot of BS spoutted though, along with Lie Teller. Keep up the good fight people, your format of "Freedom for the people" (led by one company, mostly interested in its royalties from DVD, and the "freedom" oriented Microsoft), against he evil oppression of .. well, the rest of the industry that are in to compete and make themsevles a niche in the HD market?
Hate to break it to you, but as far as the industry is concerned, the turkey is -done-. The plans are en route to position Blu Ray vs DVD, HD DVD will be phased by the end of Q3 2008, with both retailers and studios adopting Blu Ray exclusively, including Europe and Aisia, which will progressively kill the imports as well. This coming from actual insiders, the ones who actually predicted the Warner move. Not that you'll believe it, but we'll talk again after Paramount goes Blu (even if only through neutrality) and Universal goes neutral, mkay ? :)
P.S: Did you notice how Graffeo put the emphasis on "The consumer has to chose"? Remember that and chew on it, HD DVD fanboys, it'll come back into play sooner than later ;)
It's because I have a life you freakin' numbnut not because I'm depressed or afraid to post against your retarded comments that has nothing to do with logic or reason.
Go ahead and pound your chest a little bit longer because you won't be so happy when you see what's in store soon. You'd be whining and crying "unfair, unfair" for weeks and weeks until you realize that this was already in the making long before your mind was even able to comprehend.
If consumer was to be asked this war would've been over a long time ago. It took a while because Sony keeps playing dirty and illegally but this has to come to an end sometime. The mass adoption is starting and at $100 for HD players it's looking might good for consumers. I wonder what they'll pick? Especially when they find out that Blu-Ray is 4 times more expensive and has 3 different subtypes within the format that are not mutually compatible. Yes, I see EVERYONE running towards Blu-Ray.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
