$8,999 for a pair of speakers? Thats more than I spent for my entire Home Theater. HD Projector, 1kW 5.1 Surround Sound, Toshiba HD-A30 HD-DVD, PS3, FiOS HD DVR.

Heck, $9k was the down payment for my first house!

I'll say that is actually a pretty good deal considering what you are getting. These speakers would give you a lifetime of enjoyment, unlike some POS thing that you will replace 10 times in your life.

These speakers are obviously designed for someone who doesn't have children or pets. All I need is a completely exposed set of drivers that cost me a bundle getting kool-aid dumped over them... or peanut butter... or...

There's something very wrong with these speakers. For deep bass you need very large baffles; these speakers have almost no baffles -- and that is very baffling.
