Cox Oklahoma adding HGTV, Travel Channel, and Food Network in HD
Just last summer, AT&T rolled its U-verse service into Oklahoma City and threw the ball back in Cox's court. Now, the latter is beefing up its own lineup ever so slightly in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Starting on February 12th, subscribers in both regions will purportedly be able to tune into HGTV HD, Travel Channel HD and Food Network HD on channels 737, 744 and 745. We know -- you all were wishing for a few more than three, but hopefully it's just a sign of things to come, eh?[Thanks, Philip]

Oh Yeah! I saw this in my bill the other day. I'm so excited about this also. I can't wait to watch "Good Eats" in 1080i. Go Alton!
Too bad it isn't USA Network and SciFi. If it was those 2 I might actually care what they add.
Tell me about it on the bill side of things..my bill has gone up from around $108(intro) to $180(reality) per month! The only thing that I will be keeping my business with cox for is the internet. By the time they get to 50, both satellite companies will be pushing 150..that reminds me I need to cancel my cable bill, thanks engadgetHD!
im in metairie,LA which is near New Orleans,LA. i think we about 27 HD channels but were missing ALOT. Fox, Travel, Speed, USA, Hitory, &Sci-Fi to name a few.
Just wanted to comment and say Travel Channel HD isn't really HD. It's a 4:3 image that's been zoomed in part of the way. Hopefully they add real HD programs soon...
