Just weeks after Time Warner Cable
beefed up the HD offerings in Woodside (a Queens, NY neighborhood) and Staten Island, the carrier has apparently decided to bless the rest of Queens and Brooklyn with the very same additions. Yep, this now means that you and your Woodside pals can once again be on speaking terms, as you too can finally enjoy the likes of CNN HD, M HD, History Channel HD, A&E HD, Food Network HD, Lifetime Movies HD, HGTV HD, TMC HD, Versus HD and NHL HD. Be sure and drop any extras that may have joined inconspicuously in comments below. [

Does TWC anywhere have Scifi HD? It's one of the few channels I really want in HD and I'm about ready to jump ship if they don't get it...
What about Manhattan? We have the worst TWC HD lineup in the country.
I saw this yesterday but as of this morning, these channels were not up and running in Forest Hills. Let's hope they are here soon, otherwise I'll be ready to jump ship as soon as another option arrives.
How can get info this about what's offered in Bergen County, NJ?
Hopefully they start bringing that HD goodness up north to the Hudson Valley.
when will Time Warner in Manhattan start offering this??
seriously when is manhattan getting more channels?!?!?!?!??!?!
SERIOUSLY!!!
What is the source of this news? It is not on the TWCNYC site. I noticed yesterday as well that "Woodside only" was dropped but so far nothing showing up on my Brooklyn cable box. Bummer.
I don't have these in Forest Hills either. It's more of a case of TWC lying about their offerings rather than blessing anyone with new content. How about a footnote stating "in Woodside only" or an expected roll out date? Too much to ask I'm sure.
The question is, how much extra will TWC be charging now that they have more channels?
Noticed this last night and called up TWC today to find out what was up. Customer Service knew as much about this as I did. Nothing. Not a good sign when she has to go to the web-site to find out what I'm talking about
Anyone know when these channels be available in all of queens? I'm in little neck and we don't have any of the "woodside" hd hannels yet.
I live in Astoria; except for CNN-HD, I've had these channels for a few months now. CNN-HD I just got a few days ago.
i am in flushing queens i dont have it these channels im gonan swich there is so much competition dish direct tv actually alot of people are staring to swtich in the "good" area of flushing not the ethnic part
Yeah, I don't have any of these in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn either.
The new channels have been taken off the list now so looks like no new channels anytime soon.
I'm in Brooklyn and I didn't see any of these last night. Also, HDnet and HDMovie feeds have been switched since Wed it appears.
This is so frustrating!!
Engadget - You gotta do a followup story on this and get some info. because obviously this story is not correct. Get ahold of your sources.. find out what's up. What was your source to begin with?
evidently , they are playing games with us or they are incompitant, eitherway , i dont want such a company to transmit tv to me
Engadget is ownded by twc ... I think many are switching to direct tv ... must be a ploy to keep those thinking of switching. TWC SUX
time warner is getting scared then good im glad
It's now 02/19/08. I live in Queens Village, 6 miles from Woodside, Queens. STILL no new HD channels since TBS HD came on before baseball playoffs.
I think Time Warner is using Engadget to spread lies to stop from losing HD customers to DirectTV.
It seems as if they tricked us. They are no longer showing these channels as available on their website.
As of tonight, 2/22, the new channels are showing up in the lineup but when you channel to them they are black (but have logos in the info strip and programming in the guide list). I'm in Brooklyn Heights. Anybody know what's up?
I'm in Boerum Hill and I still don't even have the channels showing up on my line-up.
As of today Feb 25th I have 11 new channels all black.
