"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
Funny you should mention...I've been receiving these, and a couple more (NFL HD among them) since late November/early December here in Northern NJ. I called Comcast 2 weeks ago because I was having a problem receiving a couple of those channels after picking up a Tivo 3 and when I told the rep what channels were now missing from my lineup, he explained "it's because they don't exist." Ummmmm...yes...they do. I had been watching them for at least 6 weeks at the time, but no one there had any documentation that they were ever rolled out in this area. So I'm happy (relatively speaking).
