I wish they would extend it to all consumer electronics and slap a 10% tax models that do not meet some reasonable power consumption criteria with a rebate on models that exceed it by some margin. That would motivate manufacturers to improve their power consumption, simply to make their products cheaper to the consumer and therefore more favourable.
