Someone sitting 1.5 times the width of the display and with 20-20 vision can resolve 1100 line-pairs, one would need to either have considerable much better vision than 20-20 or be considerably much closer to the screen to resolve greater than 1100 line-pairs.
Not sitting closer than 1.5 times the screen's width nor having better than 20-20 vision means you will never 'see' the added resolution. Go get'em Tiger!
