yea i still dont see the point of releasing HDD/Blu-ray recorders that are capable of recording HD, but have NO INPUTS that support more than 480i (s-video seems to be the standard). if im paying upwards of 2g's for a standalone bluray recorder please give me at least one set of component inputs to record HD video.
if a slingbox solo can passthrough HD video, why cant they stick a set of component inputs and allow it to be recorded as well? seems as though the slingbox solo is already half there.
