Well, would you look at that. Nary 48 hours after we heard that Cox Communications was getting set to
upgrade its fiber optic network in the Hampton, Virginia area, subscribers in said region are already reaping the benefits. Reportedly, Cox has dished out not one, not two, but
ten new high-def options to customers in Hampton Roads / Virginia Beach. Wondering what those newcomers are? Try The CW HD, CNN HD, NHL Network HD, TLC HD, Versus / Golf HD, Animal Plant HD, Science Channel HD, Travel Channel HD, Food Network HD and yes, NFL Network HD as well. Talk about a solid way to start the weekend.

To bad Cox in Phoenix has not competition in Phoenix because they seem to take forever to upgrade their network for more HD channels.
Why does Cox hate Phoenix so much? It seems they add hd content all over their markets, and Phoenix gets everything last. We're a pretty big market out here, and you'd think that they would keep up. But then again, the only alternative is satellite
That's alot of channels D* people have been watching for 6 months now.
They still can't have me on their digital until they add SciFi. It would be nice to have FX as well.
Period.
I am going to cancel my service in Phoenix if the HD channels that Cox gives us in March are a bunch of no name channels.
I do not want food channel HD or animal planet HD.
Give us Sci-Fi.
Give us FX.
Give us USA.
I've been complaining that COX needed to add more HD in the Hampton Roads area ever since I've moved there. The one time I travel overseas they add 10 channels. Unbelievable! Oh well, it's better to Discover the world than watch Discovery HD I guess.
