An HD DVD isn't a waste at all compared to the U.S. Goverment. 60 million dollars (20 million per missle, yeah for some reason we had to have 2 extras?) to shoot down a 1.6 Billion dollar spy sat. that was dead when it got in orbit in 2006. That's money in the trash. This HD DVD add-on is a DEAL for the ages and if I didn't have one already, I'd hit that agian.
