- STR-DG520 - 5.1 channel, (2) HDMI, 1080 60/24p, 100 Watts per channel. Available in March for $200.
- STR-DG720 - 7.1 channel, (3) HDMI, 1080 60/24p, 105 Watts per channel, XM ready. Available in March for $300.
- STR-DG820 - 7.1 channel, (4) HDMI, Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD, dts High Resolution Audio, dts-HD, xvYCC, 1080 60/24p, 110 Watts per channel, XM ready. Available in May for $400.
- STR-DG920 (pictured) - 7.1 channel, (4) HDMI, Deep Color (HDMI 1.3, xvColor), Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD, dts High Resolution Audio, dts-HD, xvYCC, 1080 60/24p, 110 Watts per channel, XM ready. Available in June for $600.
- NHS-130C rack (pictured after the break) - 7.1 channel, 12-zone HD video and music distribution, Control4 integration, in-wall iPod dock options, 400 DVD changer, piddly 160GB music server, whatever Blu-ray player, XM and Sirius, three free components for your TiVo or PS3, and a starting price of $40k up to $85k. Man, that's brutal. Bought an STR-DG910 at Christmas ... two months later and the feature set has been demoted to 720 status... wishing I had waited for the 820 -- everything I need, plus bitstreaming support...

and i just bought a str dg1100 two weeks ago for $600 on amazon. ($900 msrp)
for the same price or less i coulda had internal DTS HD and Dolby HD decoding on hdmi 1.3 ?!?! that dg920 would have been perfect!
i would still need a BDP-S550 to bitstream or internally decode DTS HD, but still,

Well, the 920 won't be available for another 4 months. You can't honestly expect electronics gear to remain that stagnant, can you? What you buy now will always be cheaper and more obsolete 4 months from now...

Any information if these recievers include the XBL on screen display? The interface on the 5200/5300ES higher end models..

well im returning my dg910 tonight, i want TrueHD and DTSHD
All of these are MUCH cheaper than the current Onkyo, Yamaha, and Denon offerings, so this should be interesting... I wonder how the 920 will compare with Denon's 3808CI.
Any word on the video processors themselves, or will each of them only do pass-through?

The rack looks sooo eighties, it wouldn't look out of place in the Swan station.
The receivers look like great value, though.
I bought the 800 in 2006, looks like I'll be picking up an 820 now.
For that kind of money, you could do much better than Sony's mediocre components.
Sony STR-DG920: my 'tax stimulus' check has just been earmarked.
